A celebration of the emblematic Iris signature that began the Prada fragrance story.

The scent opens on a sharp, luminous, and green rush of Galbanum, like morning light cutting through wet leaves. Powdery iris then emerges, bold and radiant, richly textured with a soft warmth: the flower unfolds as if dusted in pale violet light. At last, Vetiver deepens and draws the fragrance into the earth, dark and rooted.

Tainted Violet comes with a satin pouch featuring a pattern from the Prada Fall/Winter 2003 collection. This pattern is referenced in the visual collage that expresses the fragrance.

On the occasion of the collection's repackaging, the fragrance has been renamed to better reflect its distinctive character and scent. Purple Rain becomes Tainted Violet, its name evolves while its signature remains unchanged.

The Collection
Embodying the essence of Prada’s creative vision, the Olfactories are the most exquisite fragrance collection conceived by Master perfumer Daniela Andrier alongside the creative direction of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons.

Each fragrance draws from a distinct territory of the Prada universe — a material, a gesture, a tension — and translates it into scent through unexpected associations of texture, color, and ingredient.

An evocative collage accompanies each of the Olfactories, encapsulating a mood, memory, experience, or dream contained within the olfactive essence.

The Bottle
The Olfactories bottle reveals a faceted octagonal silhouette, defined by architectural lines and sculptural precision. A raised rectangular relief frames the Olfactories’ pale blue label, finished in Prada’s refined and iconic Saffiano texture. The design is crowned with a midnight-blue Saffiano-textured cap, topped with a delicate embossed Prada logo.

The outerbox is etched with the brand’s signature Saffiano leather cross-hatching and finished with the iconic blue label, extending the bottle’s distinctive visual identity.
